Booker T Washington said:
“Success always leaves footprints.”
And he was right. Success does leave footprints.
If you know where to look for them, you can walk in those footsteps and create your own success.
It’s not as simple as copying what others do, it’s different to that.
It’s like learning to dance from footprints on the floor. Those footprints can show you the steps you need to take, and in what order.
They can help you start on your way. They’re a shortcut that can help you in the beginning.
You’re smart so you know that you still have to put in the work. You have to do the training.
And you have make the moves your own. You can’t just copy Fred Astaire or Ginger Rogers, you have to develop your own style.
But those footprints are still valuable. They can keep you on track and help you know that you’re heading in the right direction.
That’s why we’re sharing some valuable lessons from seven members of Forbes Real Estate Council, an invitation-only organisation for executives in the real estate industry.
Check out what they’ve learned along the way so you can avoid the same pitfalls, and ride on the waves of their success.

Be Better Than You Were
So now you know their secrets there’s nothing stopping you. Except you yourself.
You see, we all get in our own way. All the time.
We self-sabotage. We make excuses. We get scared and we procrastinate.
The truth is that you know what you need to do. You just need to do it.
You need to keep striving towards your goals. You need to keep being a bit better today than you were yesterday.
You need to pick up the phone and call those leads. You need to write listing descriptions that sell properties fast and then market the heck out of those listings.
Because when you get out of your own way and stop overthinking everything, you can smash your sales targets every month. You can create your own success.
You just need to believe in yourself and take action.
