You’re smart so you probably already know this.
In the real estate business, a lot of your new clients come from referrals from past clients. On top of that, more and more home buyers check out online reviews when searching for a real estate agent.
So you have to be sure your clients have nothing but good things to say about you. Put another way, can you afford not to Wow your clients?
Not if you want to build a successful business. To create any successful business you have to give fantastic customer service.
Here’s how to do it:
Anticipate Your Clients’ Needs
Your clients have chosen to work with you because you’re an expert in your field. You know the real estate industry.
Because of this, you should know what your clients need well before they actually need it. This way, you can have everything handled before your clients even realise that it needs to be done.
When you give your clients a great customer experience, they notice. They appreciate that you are on top of everything.
Make Yourself Available
There is nothing worse for your clients than not being able to get a hold of you when they have a question or concern.
Even though you are likely to be busy with many clients at the same time, every one is an individual. And from their perspective, you are their only point of contact.
You don’t need to be available 24/7 but always try to respond to phone calls, text messages or emails as quickly as possible. Even if you just let them know that you will respond more fully later on.
Your clients will feel more comfortable knowing they are being heard and that you have their interests top of mind.
Fight for Your Clients
A real estate agent’s primary job is to advocate on behalf of their clients when it comes to negotiations. The harder you fight for your clients, the more favourable the results will be, and the happier your clients will be with your services.
In the real estate industry, just about everything is negotiable. Don’t hesitate to fight for what your clients want.
If you see any opportunities to gain even more favourable terms, take them. And be sure to let your clients know what you gained for them through negotiations. Doing this builds value for your services, and increases customer loyalty.
Provide Additional Services
You can also build value for your clients outside the negotiating table by helping them with other aspects of buying or selling a home. Being able to recommend reliable services such as home inspectors or mortgage lenders makes their lives easier.
When you’re working with sellers, you can engage the services of professional photographers to show their home in the best possible light (sellers love that!). And it’s fast and easy to when that professional has a simple app for making bookings. (See, we love making life easier for our customers, too!)
The more you can offer your clients, the more positive things they’ll have to say about you in the future. Before you know it, you’ll have a band of loyal followers singing your praises to everyone you know – and your business will soar!
